1. Harry Potter Part 2(Post Last Movie)

I finally get to give a huge post on Harry Potter……..

To begin with, I cried….A LOT! (I watched the movie at midnight by the way on July 15).

My day began at seven in the morning….with me dying for coffee and anxious, counting down the hours for the movie. The wait was killing me!

So to distract myself and to finish what I had to finish, I went to complete the Slytherin robe I’d been making. But go figure…the sleeves I had to add to finish it off didn’t want to cooperate.

I worked on this endlessly, gave up hope while getting support from my best friend, Hannah, because as always I was getting really emotional and tearing up at any mention of the future…the movie…the end of my childhood.

But then I had to go to guard practice. Which was uneventful, and just fueled my thoughts to counting down for Harry Potter.

Finally we left to Hannah’s house to get ready. Ten teenagers. Bad idea. But we got there safe enough.

We went out to eat, then got in the theater. Watched the last part of the first half of DH1. My friend Heidi sat beside me, crying about Dobby, while I just quietly whimpered because I knew that it was only going to get sadder from there.

We waited for about forty minutes before it started, then we sat, waiting for trailers to end, and as soon as it began, the whole theater was quiet.

From here, the gifs end. Harry Potter can’t be described by any thing other than the memories, and the heartfelt moments it’s left within each one of us. I held Heidi’s hand through most of the film, tears streaming from my face without any second hand thoughts. Harry’s fight to the end was miraculous. We lost Fred, Remus, Tonks, so many others for this. Snape’s life story was revealed, bringing a bit of light to his dark life. The portrayal of the book may have not been precisely accurate, but it was still the conclusion to a great lifelong legend that will mark us forever. I was really glad that I was able to spend this time with my friends, an ending for all of us, closing up the last bits of childhood we had left. We still may act like kids, but now we’ve learned so much from Harry, Ron, Hermionie, and all those who stuck with Harry ‘till the end.
